Até então, Ayrton Senna era acostumado com mulheres a seu alcance. Fazia e decidia o futuro do relacionamento por conta própria. Isso só durou até encontrar Maria da Graça Meneghel. Gaúcha, loira, olho azul, corpo escultura, sonho de dez entre dez brasileiros na década de 80 ( e continuou sendo nos dez anos seguintes). Rica, bonita, independente. Xuxa reunia as caracterÃsticas de nenhuma outra mulher que já havia passado na vida de Senna.
O namoro dos dois começou no finalzinho de 1988. Ayrton mal tinha sido campeão mundial pela McLaren e conheceu Xuxa. Não sabia ele que as mesmas caracterÃsticas que o cativaram no inÃcio do relacionamento, acabariam com tudo. Xuxa não podia acompanhar Senna nas corridas, tinha compromisso com os "baixinhos" todas as manhãs na Globo e, principalmente, com Marlene Mattos.
Um ano depois do inÃcio, Senna já vivia momentos conturbados com a apresentadora. Ao perder o mundial de 1989 para Alain Prost, tentou esfriar a cabeça visitando a amada em Nova Iorque vestido de Papai Noel. Xuxa não gostou nem um pouco e dispensou o campeão. Senna manteve contato com a apresentadora até os últimos dias de vida, mas, segundo o livro de Ernesto Rodrigues "Ayrton,Herói Revelado", ao desligar o telefone, o Ãdolo sempre ficava deprimido.
"Xuxa delira pela profissão, e simplesmente, se fecha no seu mundo. Acho que fui um dos únicos que consegui entrar no mundo dela. Conheci coisas particulares do interior de Xuxa. Ela não dá condições para o relacionamento. Não tem tempo para pensar para valer em uma famÃlia, em ter seu baixinho, sua baixinha. Posso dizer que uma única coisa senti lá dentro o desejo de ter uma famÃlia. Uma única vez em toda minha vida sonhei ter uma criança. Logo em 1990, o piloto brasileiro "apresentou" sua nova namorada. A morena Cristine Ferracciu passou quase dois anos com Senna. Pouco se ouviu falar dela. Ele nunca gostou de estardalhaço com a vida pessoal. O namoro acabou quando Ferracciu decidiu voltar para o Brasil para cuidar da mãe, que estava com câncer.
Adriane Galisteu
Seu último relacionamento foi com a então modelo Adriane Galisteu. Os amigos mais próximos dizem que Senna nunca esteve tão feliz ao lado de uma mulher. Por outro lado, a famÃlia sempre foi totalmente contra o romance. No dia 30 de abril de 1994, o irmão Leonardo chegou a mostrar para o piloto uma fita contendo uma conversa telefônica entre Galisteu e um ex-namorado. Nela, Senna era zombado pelo ex da modelo. Galisteu não havia concordado com nada na gravação, nem comentou sobre o assunto quando foi procurada recentemente por uma revista semanal.
A publicação garante que a marcante cena de Ayrton olhando fixamente para o carro minutos antes da largada em Ãmola não seria por preocupação com a corrida, e sim com o possÃvel rompimento do namoro com Galisteu. E de fato ele foi rompido. Na curva Tamburello, a 300 Km/h...
Para o público podia parecer que namorar era complicado para Ayrton. Porém, ele sempre teve uma opinião bem definida:
"Namoro como todo mundo. Às vezes dou bola, à s vezes elas dão. É fascinante este jogo de relações afetivas entre um homem e uma mulher. Mas encontrar a parceira ideal não é fácil. O lado fÃsico, a beleza, o charme, a inteligência, é claro que tudo isso conta. Weltautorennenformel 1 kart Meister
